As you may know by now, I am no longer writing about a cappella exclusively for this blog. I started contributing to the Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA) website a few months back, and yesterday my most extensive article was posted– on the topic of song selection. You can check it out here:
I also contributed a post comparing the Pitch Perfect movie with the original book, which you can check out here:
Last, I wanted to remind you all that I am now writing for RARB, and you can check out my reviews here:
Please note for RARB- we must wait until all 3 reviewers are finished before the review is posted, so even though I have completed 6 reviews, only 2 have been posted thus far. There are many more to come.
Also, if you haven’t noticed, I’ve added a new page called “Legalities” which discusses some of the legal aspects of a cappella music. It is very basic, and should not be considered authoritative nor should it be considered legal advice, but it might help you understand a few simple ideas or concepts, and I have links within the page to other, more thorough, sources (aka Jonathan Minkoff).
That’s all for now- please feel free to continue emailing me with suggestions for AcaVids and other issues of interest, and I hope to be getting an update going for the Festivals page (in collaboration with Florian Stadtler) finished soon.
